Four National Studies on Gender Based Violence in Lebanon

This set includes four national studies on Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Lebanon, conducted in 2010:

  •          Situation Analysis in Gender Based Violence in Lebanon
  •          Assessment of Media Coverage of GBV issues in Lebanon
  •          Review of Gender Based Violence Research in Lebanon
  •         Review of Gender Based Violence Resource and Training Material in Lebanon

The studies are the fruit of a joint collaboration between UNFPA, the National Commission for Lebanese Women and GBV actors in Lebanon, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Italian Cooperation.

New evidence generated by these studies provides a comprehensive overview of the GBV situation in Lebanon in terms of legislations, services, resources, actors, among others. As such, the identified gaps and challenges are fundamental for enhancing GBV prevention and response.
