In line with the decisions of the Lebanon Recovery Fund (LRF) Steering Committee, all participating UN agencies are encouraged to cooperate with national Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) in the formulation and implementation of projects. In this regard, the LRF Steering Committee would like to invite now all participating UN agencies to submit project proposals for which national NGOs appear as implementing partners. In addition to UN agencies specific policy regarding national NGOs as implementing partners, the LRF Steering Committee requests that the following criteria be applied to participating NGOs:
• NGOs should be registered and active in Lebanon for at least 5 years.
• NGOs should have an established experience with UN organizations or other international organizations.
• NGOs should have a past experience of managing projects with a budget over a US$ 1,000,000 ceiling.
• Projects for which NGOs appear as implementing partners will not have a budget exceeding US$ 1,000,000.
