Jointly elaborated between the Government of Lebanon and the United Nations – under the leadership of Minister of Social Affairs Rashid Derbas and the UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator Philippe Lazzarini - the plan aims to reach 1.9 million individuals with protection and direct assistance; and 2.1 million individuals with service delivery, economic recovery, and community services.  Funding requirements of the plan amount to 2.48 billion for 2016. In their interventions during the launch, the PM and Minister Derbas reiterated their calls for increased international funding for Lebanon’s development needs and for greater transparency in the channeling of these funds.  One billion USD were mobilized against the 2015 LCRP meeting almost 50% of requirements.
